Hello STYLEARTIST friends, well a big thing happened since I last wrote- STYLEARTIST went live! We have had a busy couple of days packing fabulous packages of good stuff for our guests. A huge thank you to our STYLEARTIST friends who took the time to visit us, especially those of you who purchased! Now that we have approached the fall season officially, it’s time to share the inspiration behind our fall assortment selection. Many trends were seen on the runways this fall- we fell in love with them, and curated our collection to help you look up to date, effortlessly.
Wear the Fine Print - Why should we only wear floral prints in spring? This season we see a continuation of floral prints on darker backgrounds. Remember, a print makes a statement so keep everything else neutral. Our Favourite Printed Dress
Dressed in Denim - What would we be wearing if denim wasn’t invented? Denim has become my uniform. Work, play, rest, do…denim works for it all. Even though the strong trends of rips and frays make for a super casual look, dark denim works well for more of an elegant, business casual, or nighttime outfit. One of our most anticipated pieces coming to STYLEARTIST this October is the 3X1 black denim jumpsuit featured above. Who knew you could even pull off denim for a holiday party!
Lady in Red - A pop of red is showing up in all sort so places this fall. Red can be worn subtly – like with a killer red lip shade and nail polish- or full on- a red dress.
Women in Black - This isn’t a trend, in my opinion, this is now a staple. Shiny black, leather, pleather, looks like leather- the edginess of this look just feels powerful. Bailey 44 Faux Leather Pants
Lingerie exposed - No longer a piece that only your nearest and dearest can view, this season lingerie is meant to be worn on the outside. For those of us who are over 18, we found beautiful layering pieces that can be pulled off with class. Spanx Lace Crop Top
Vintage furs - You don’t need to splurge on a fur coat to wear this trend. More economical fur pieces are showing up everywhere, from decorative pom poms to attach to your purse or shoes, trims on scarves and gloves, or full on fur winter accessories.
Victorian influence - Feminine details in blouses: lots of ruffles, bell sleeves, and high necklines. A great way to soften your edgy denim.
Swanky sweats - I can’t talk enough about how grateful we are to the fashion gods for recognizing a woman’s desire to be comfortable stylishly. Fashionable leisure suits actually hit the runways this fall in comfy materials like velvet and fleece.
Black velvet - You don’t need to wait until holiday season, wear a fabulous pair of slip on loafers in velvet with your jeans and white blouse for a crisp stylish look. Black Velvet Loafers
Military madness - Rule of thumb- Only wear one camo piece at a time! (unless you want to look like you are in the military) A Touch of Camo
Until the next time, happy fall shopping, and please let us know your favourite trends and pieces this fall!
